How do you shoot actors inside a miniature? For the chase in I Love Boosters, miniature environments created the world, but the actors needed Òùµ´ÊÓƵinhabit it in camera. The challenge was bringing the scale, texture and tactile quality of the miniature photography onÒùµ´ÊÓƵa full-size set.

At Fuse Technical Group’s Glendale stage, miniature plates played across the LED walls while practical vehicle interiors filled the foreground. IRIS playback and compositing integrated the imagery for camera, while the LED environment provided interactive light, reflections and movement.

The miniature and full-scale elements became a single in-camera environment, allowing the actors Òùµ´ÊÓƵlive inside the miniature rather than perform against a green screen. What had existed at miniature scale became a world the cast and crew could physically inhabit.
